Why "One Post" Never Cuts It in the 'Burgh 📢

Let’s talk about event promotion for a second. Take a look at the attached screenshot from the Bellevue Music Festival fundraising rollout. They absolutely nailed the strategy here, and it’s a blueprint local bands should be copying.
Instead of hitting people with a single flyer once and hoping for the best, they designed a series of variations. Each post felt fresh to the algorithm, but because they stuck to a strict design language, the branding remained instantly recognizable. They started 3 weeks out, stacked their cadence, hit multiple platforms, and managed to draw a great crowd despite a bad weather forecast.
The reality of the independent music scene right now is that attention is fragmented. If you think posting about your show once or twice on an Instagram story is going to packed-house a room, you're playing a losing game.
You need a workback schedule. You need an escalating cadence that turns up the volume as show week approaches. Most importantly, your visual assets have to be clean, consistent, and undeniably you. That’s the difference between an empty room and a conversion where people actually show up.
